Description
This course is intended to teach and assist you in achieving a higher level on the grammar exam while also augmenting your speaking ability on the oral test. This course is broken down into categories that you can use to target the areas in which you have the most difficulty.
The course materials are in three parts. Part 1 is the aide memoires. These are mini-lessons that give rapid explanations on a particular grammar element. They are designed to help you learn the material quickly-we know you are busy! Part 2 is the practice exercises. Many will related to an aide memoire. You can go directly to these without reviewing the aide memoire, but we recommend reviewing the 1-2 page aide memoires first. Some do not have an accompanying aide memoire such as vocabulary expansion exercises. Part 3 is the practice exams. Most are designed to replicate the public service exams. In a few exceptions, we have modified the exams to enhance learning.
From time-to-time we add additional study helps in an accompanying tab and video tips.
Most of the exercises and practice exams have a passing rate set at 80%. Don’t worry if you don’t achieve this level right away. If you are between 40-60%, you are likely to score a low B on the public service exams. An 80% should put you towards a high B or low C on the exams. A score of 90% or higher should put you in a high C to low E score. We recommend doing the practice questions and exams until you can score 80%.
